Antoinette Nwandu’s Pass Over is a dramatic, allegorical play that blends the Biblical Exodus story with Samuel Beckett’s Waiting for Godot, focusing on two young Black men, Moses and Kitch, stuck on a Chicago street corner.

 

They pass time, dreaming of a promised land, while facing systemic, fatal oppression from a white stranger and a hostile police officer.
